Unique itineraries which explore 'off-the-tourist-map' Algeria, sail around the stunning East Indies, and witness the tribal Mount Hagen Festival in Papua New Guinea, are just a few of the new additions to Peregrine's 2014 programme.
The tour operator already takes discerning travellers who seek a more comfortable standard of adventure 'off the grid' to places rarely visited by tourists, for expedition-style trips in remote Tajikistan and reclusive North Korea, and for one-of-a-kind experiences such as staying in the home of a Kazakh family while attending the Mongolian Eagle Festival.
Now for the first time, Peregrine's programme will also include a road trip through the stunning mountain passes of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia, a Dubai Stopover with a difference, which showcases the Arabian aspects of the city, and safaris in Selous, an unspoiled wilderness which is the largest National Park in Tanzania.
Twenty new trips have been added to Peregrine's 2014 Europe programme, including small group, comfort-standard tours exploring the Celtic culture, dramatic landscapes and abundant wildlife of Scotland and Ireland, and the majestic natural beauty and cosmopolitan capitals of Scandinavia.
New itineraries in Central America will explore the volcanoes of Nicaragua and the rainforests and birdlife of Panama, and a range of six new sailing itineraries in the Galapagos will offer a comfortable way to explore the islands aboard a luxury, twin hull catamaran.
Peregrine has added new treks that combine Everest Base Camp & Lobuje Peak for a more challenging option in the Himalaya, and hike Kilimanjaro's more remote Lemosho Route.
"Even the most dedicated traveller would be hard-pressed to say they've ventured to destinations such as Tajikistan or North Korea, so we're excited to offer these truly unique experiences in our programme," said Steve Wroe, Peregrine's General Manager.
"Algeria's incredible Roman ruins and mosaics would be packed with tourists if they were in Europe, but after 20 years off the tourist map you're likely to have them to yourself. Add cities packed with colonial charm, desert towns, and the spectacularly situated Constantine, perched high above a gorge, and Algeria has to be the ultimate destination for experienced travellers," Wroe added.
To celebrate the launch of the 2014 programme, Peregrine is offering 10% off all brochured trips until 30 November 2013, for travel before 30 September 2014. See www.peregrineadventures.com/world-closer for more details.
