Fright Hike – Halloween Charity Challenges

Global Adventure Challenges organises first Halloween evening charity walks in Epping and Sherwood Forests

30km in 6 hours

Epping Forest – Saturday 26 October 2013

Sherwood Forest – Saturday 2 November 2013

The first Halloween charity walks through ancient forests, haunted monastery ruins and across cemeteries are being organised by Global Adventure Challenges on the evenings of Saturday 26 October in Epping Forest and Saturday 2 November in Sherwood Forest.

Signing up as an individual or part of a team to tackle the serious challenge of raising money for a favourite charity, will take walkers on a 30km route through the forests.

Epping Forest has a large church, surrounding cemetery and the legendary ‘Hangman’s Hill’ - where it is said criminals and convicts were hanged. Keen-eyed walkers may even see the ghost of Dick Turpin, the infamous highwayman.

The route across Sherwood Forest takes in its crumbling, haunted monastery ruins and spooky, medieval legends.

Organiser, charity challenge tour operator Global Adventure Challenges, has devised the event not only to meet increasing demand for endurance challenges – bookings of this type have more than doubled since last year for the company – but also to inspire support for hard pressed regional charities with programmes and supporters based locally.

Peter Robinson, Director of Events and co-founder of Global Adventure Challenges said: "Fright Hike has been designed to bring an element of fun to what is a real challenge. It is achievable by anyone as long as you prepare and train beforehand.”

To sign up to the challenge costs £39 per person to register, plus £39 for the self-funding option or £39 to register, plus £160 for minimum sponsorship. For more details and to book call 01244 676 454 or visit www.globalaHYPERLINK "http://www.global/"dventurechallenges.com.
