Sydney, 6th July 2023: The Gantry at Pier One Sydney Harbour is thrilled to resume its coveted 'Friends of The Gantry' series – a series of culinary collaborations with Australia's finest restaurants. This unique experience sees The Gantry invite Chef Massimo Mele to the restaurant, presenting a signature menu from Peppina over two exclusive seatings on July 22nd, with a portion of the profits donated to OzHarvest. For those who are unable to make it, a special dish curated during the experience by Massimo and The Gantry's Head Chef, Rhys Connell, will remain on The Gantry's menu until August 19th 

 

Renowned as a destination for culinary excellence and 'home' for nurturing and celebrating Chef talent, The Gantry's recently unveiled new-look and menu makes it the perfect location for the revitalised 'Friends of The Gantry' series. The restaurant team are excited to be working alongside industry friends and Australia's hottest guest chefs, bringing unique dining experiences to Sydney, all while using The Gantry's suppliers and finest NSW produce.  

 

This July, Sydney diners will have the unique opportunity to experience this with the first Peppina collaboration, sitting waterside on Sydney Harbour over lunch or dinner. Created by Chef Massimo Mele, Peppina's Italo-Tasmanian menu showcases seasonal pastas, locally sourced meats and seafood cooked on the grill, and a selection of antipasti not to be missed.  

 

Menu highlights will marry The Gantry's modern Australian dining with Peppina's 'big-hearted Italian hospitality,' made with Sydney's best produce and brought to life by Massimo together with The Gantry team. Highlights include: Boomer Bay Oysters with elderflower mignonette; lamb arosticini; and hand-rolled macaroni with genovese, veal shin and fresh truffle to start. Mains include Peppina's signature Porchetta, complete with nettle cream, pickled radicchio and confit tropea onion, as well as fermented celeriac, cabbage salad and macadamia cream. To finish, guests will be treated to Peppina's famous tiramisu.  

 

A portion of profits will also be donated to OzHarvest, with every booking enabling the delivery of 20 meals to those in need. At a time when the rising cost of living has seen the need for food relief significantly increase, this support is more valuable than ever. 

 

For those who are unable to make the events on July 22nd, a special dish curated by Massimo and The Gantry's Head Chef, Rhys Connell, during their time together, will remain on The Gantry's menu until August 19th – with details soon to be revealed. 

 

The next 'Friends of The Gantry' collaboration will be announced later this year.
