Free Indigenous School Holiday Program Announced at Ayers Rock Resort

Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia

With the school holidays only weeks away, Ayers Rock Resort have announced a special school holiday program designed to enthrall and delight children while they are in the Indigenous cultural heartland of Australia.

Further enhancing the already popular suite of free daily Indigenous Guest Activities, during the school holidays, Indigenous hosts will run special activities that encourage children to engage in Indigenous cultural activities.

Families will create lasting memories together whilst learning about the traditional techniques of boomerang and spear throwing, joining in traditional Aboriginal games and world-renowned artists from Maraku Arts will demonstrate the technique of fine poker work on wooden artifacts synonymous to Central Australian Aboriginal Art.

Families are urged to book now and save 20%* with the Family Holiday Special offer. Stay three nights at the award-winning Desert Gardens Hotel or self-contained Emu Walk Apartments at Ayers Rock Resort including free buffet breakfast daily and return Ayers Rock Airport transfers.

The already popular suite of free daily Indigenous Guest Activities, available to every guest staying at the Resort, features an interactive performance by the Wakagetti Dance Troupe, spear and boomerang lessons, guided garden walks and bush yarns at the Circle of Sand.

To book visit www.ayersrockresort.com.au or contact Voyages Travel Centre on 1300 134 044.

*Conditions apply. Free school holiday activities effective 23 September 2013 until 13 October 2013 inclusive.
