From 8-19 May 2009 the world-renowned Floralies Flower Show will take place in Nantes celebrating its 10th anniversary.

A horticulturalists paradise, the Floralies flower show is held every five years in the Beaujoire Exhibition Centre in Nantes and, together with this years theme Pouvoir des fleurs(The Power of Flowers), will bring together 200 of the worlds top floral artists, landscape gardeners and environmental architects to create an explosion of colours and scents offering a spectacle you'd expect at one of the worlds greatest gardening events.

The 35-hectare Beaujoire exhibition centre will be transformed into a huge garden, with this years theme "The Power of Flowers" aiming to inspire the human values of creation, life, love, hope, well-being and emotion, whilst setting the latest gardening trends. New for the 2009 Show: Les "Floralies Déco": discover the new garden decoration and outdoor building trends. La Coupe de France des Fleuristes (the French Florists Cup): the prize for the "best florist of the year" will be awarded on 11, 12 and 13 May. Daily entertainment: three dance parades or shows each lasting one hour, will be presented by the Interflora floral art group and the "Joie de Vivre" troop, followed by a light show paying tribute to the shows theme.
