Atout France reveals 29 exhibitors at media event IMM and 8 for influencer day sit-UP
Atout France has announced an unprecedented delegation for this year's IMM, with the country also heavily involved in sit-UP the following day.
Some 29 of France's regions, cities and visitor attractions are headed to London for IMM (www.travmedia.com/immuk), the leading event for travel and tourism brands to meet the media, taking place at the QEII Centre, Westminster, on Monday 25 March.
France will enjoy its own dedicated area at the show - which this year features dedicated exhibitor stands - and is additionally sponsoring IMM's breakfast.
Atout France has organised the delegation which comprises: Atout France; Avignon; Bordeaux and Cité du Vin; Burgundy; Centre des Monuments Nationaux; Charente-Maritime Tourism; Destination Gers; Haute-Garonne Tourisme; Loire Vallley; Marseille & Fly Provence; Montpellier and Nice* (*via Top French Cities); Nausicaa & Boulogne; Nimes; Normandy; Occitanie; Palais des Festival Cannes; Paris; Pas-de-Calais; Pays de la Loire; Puy du Fou; Pyrenées Orientales; Savoie Mont Blanc; Tarn Tourisme; Tarn-et-Garonne; Toulouse; Vallee Dordogne, and Villages Nature.
Meanwhile eight French tourism brands are headed for sit-UP, the new dedicated conference, marketplace and awards event connecting travel brands and travel influencers (www.situpevent.com), on Tuesday 26 March at the QEII. They are: Atout France; Centre des Monument Nationaux; Cité du Vin; Montpellier; Nausicaa; Normandy Tourism; Paris and Pays de la Loire.
Both IMM and sit-UP are events created by TravMedia UK, the leading social network connecting travel brands with journalists and influencers.
Said Anne Pedersen, Head of PR at Atout France: “IMM has become the place for us to tell our stories for the year to the media. We're anticipating another turnout from UK visitors, which remains our leading international inbound market.
“We're delighted to have top cities involved in this year's event, including Bordeaux, Marseille, Nice, Montpellier, Toulouse and of course Paris. Also, it's great to have attractions and organisations participating, such as Bordeaux's Cité du Vin museum, the French national sea centre of Nausicaa and Centre des Monument Nationaux, which manages France's historic buildings and sites.
“We're holding a string of major events this year, including the Loire Valley's commemorations marking both Leonardo da Vinci's death there 500 years and the region's outstanding contribution to the French Renaissance.
“We've also got the 75th anniversary of the D-Day Landings in Normandy, possibly the last that may attract veteran servicemen, and a host of other visitor magnets nationwide, from the alps to the beaches, countryside to cities.”
Said Henry Hemming, TravMedia UK's Managing Director: “A big 'merci beaucoup' to Anne and to all the French regions, cities and organisations making their way to IMM and sit-UP. For all journalists and influencers who place France high up in their agenda – and that's quite a few! – the events will be unmissable.”
Last year IMM drew over 300 journalists for the first time ever, who met with 222 delegates representing 166 worldwide tourism and travel brands. Over 3900 meetings were pre-booked between media and exhibitors, another event record.
Attending the event at Westminster's prestigious QEII Centre were editors and writers from media including The Times, Daily Telegraph, The Sun, CNN Travel, Sunday Times Travel Magazine, ELLE, OK!, Wanderlust, TTG and Travel Weekly.
Influencers heading to sit-UP include conference participants Alex Hunter (Attaché); David Reilly (Life of Reilly); Julie Falconer (A Lady in London); Karen Beddow (MiniTravellers); Paul Johnson (A Luxury Travel Blog), and Sian Lewis (The Girl Outdoors). The headline speaker was confirmed this week as Matt Kepnes (Nomadic Matt).
