Luxury Family Hotel's Fowey Hall has fought of stiff competition to claim the title of Best UK Family Hotel in the Angels & Urchins Family Travel Awards 2017.

The hotel was tried and tested by Jill Forbes, a member of the high-end parenting magazine's awards panel who stayed there with her family.

Fowey is a lovely little town, there is always so much going on, the smell of newly made fudge wafting from the shops as you walk down the main street to try your hand at crabbing (lines, nets, bate and buckets all ready for you at reception).  You can pretend that the crabbing is for the kids but it's the parents that are the most enthusiastic when you pull up a crab!" 

Fowey Hall is a stunning grand Queen Anne mansion that was thought to be the original inspiration for Toad Hall in The Wind in the Willows. It is perched above the pretty sailing town of Fowey on the south Cornish coast and commands sweeping views over its estuary, port and out to sea.
