Groom's Cottage, Gardener's Cottage, The Hayloft and Barley House are converted from traditional barns in the grounds of formery rectory, Grade II listed Talaton House.
Talaton is a small village with pub in an east Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, five miles from the market town of Honiton, famous for its antique shops, and 9 miles from the 'Jurassic Coast' at Sidmouth. Escot gardens with maze, otters and woodland trails are a mile away.
At the end of a sweeping drive, the cottages have wonderful views over the acres of Georgian parkland, complete with specimen trees, vast lawns and a peceful woodland walk. Guests are welcome to enjoy the grounds.
Inside, the cottages are all smart with oak and tiled floors, underfloor heating, stylish furnishings and sleek kitchens. Helpful Holidays has rated each cottage at five star standard.
Groom's Cottage (G103, sleeps 3) is a dear little end cottage, Gardener's Cottage (G104, sleeps 4) is mid-row, Hayloft (G106, sleeps 4) is on the first floor above the old stables, and Barley House (G105, sleeps 6) is at the far end of this picturesque row.
