Nevada USA, London UK May 26th 2014: Madeleine Pickens, doyenne of Mustang Monument, has appointed former-US Navy SEAL and war hero Monty Heath to be Director of Operations at her 900 square mile luxury eco-resort and wild mustang reserve in the glorious open spaces of north-eastern Nevada.
Twice awarded the Bronze Star with Combat Valor designation, Monty brings an impeccable service history, 360 degree physical fitness, a consummate knowledge of team building and a wealth of experience of adventure at the sharp end to Mustang Monument.
His remit is to create and guide a series of adventure programmes based on the great outdoors, providing fun, challenging and ultimately hugely enjoyable activities to guests at the ranch.
Ranging from corporate and private team building events, for which Mustang Monument can be booked on an exclusive basis, to programmes designed for couples, small groups, families or individuals, Monty's contribution will build on the unique wilderness experience that already characterises this unique outback chic retreat.
Owned and run by philanthropist Madeleine Pickens, Mustang Monument is dedicated to giving a home to America's threatened Mustangs. Heritage and history are key to the spirit of the ranch, where guests are afforded the sole opportunity in the States to see mustangs in their natural habitat. Accommodation is in 'one-of-a-kind' hand-painted luxury tipis and activities focus on the legacy of the past. Riding the range wild and free, interacting with mustangs at close quarters, learning traditional cowboy skills such as calf-roping, exploring original gold mine shafts, horse-drawn and off-road 4x4 western safaris, archery, hiking and absorbing the gentle arts of moccasin making and native beading are just a few of the unforgettable experiences on offer.
Already in a league of its own, with Monty Heath as Director of Operations, Mustang Monument is destined to become an adventure playground beyond compare.
