Simply Sweden has launched an online brochure full of authentic winter breaks. Sweden offers the best authentic experience of Lapland in winter, says specialist tour operator Simply Sweden. While the Santa-crazy crowds descend on Finland, Swedish Lapland promises a less commercial atmosphere, where visitors can immerse themselves in local life and explore the spectacular landscape, dubbed by Unesco as one of the last untouched wildernesses.
Chris Graham, of Simply Sweden, says: “Lapland is renowned for its Santa breaks, but there is so much more to see, for visitors of all ages. Our small team travels far and wide to create memory-making trips, hand-picking interesting accommodation, laying on tours with the very best guides, and searching out thrilling ways to travel across these snowy lands beneath the Northern Lights.”
To help visitors choose an experience to suit their taste, Simply Sweden has launched a new online brochure, also available in print, which showcases its winter holidays for the 2014/15 season. More an inspirational magazine than a brochure, it has a clear layout and superb images, and is packed with all the vital facts about tour itineraries, transport, accommodation and excursions, as well as practical advice about the climate and what clothing to pack. It can be viewed via the home page of Simply Sweden's dedicated winter holidays website www.simplynorthernlights.co.uk.
The highlight of Simply Sweden's new Lapland tours is an exclusive trip to the centuries-old Sami winter gathering, the Jokkmokk Winter Market, 4 to 9 February 2015. Other new adventures include Laponian Arctic Nights, viewing the ethereal Northern Lights in Sweden's Sami territories, The Iron Trail – Lapland, featuring a snowmobile tour along an old iron ore trade route, and Icehotel & Northern Lights Cabins, one of four holidays celebrating the 25th anniversary of Sweden's Icehotel.
