The Library, Koh Samui's effortlessly chic and stylish property, arranges creative and imaginative weddings through its in-house division “Confetti Weddings and Events”. Today this division is widely regarded as the island's foremost organiser of artisan weddings.

Naturally, being located on Chaweng's white sands, the beach and adjoining gardens provide the basis of three wedding options, though organisers can easily arrange for weddings to take place on other parts of the island.

A WESTERN WEDDING

Perhaps best suited to couples with little time and who want the assurance that someone will organise everything down to the smallest details, this package is priced 116,550 THB (approx. £2,680).

A THAI WEDDING

This option offers a touch of modernity and creativity and includes a Buddhist monk blessing and water-pouring ceremonies and is priced 128,300 THB (approx. £2,950).

A BESPOKE WEDDING

This is where The Library's “Confetti” team comes into its own, bringing creativity and years of experience into play. The Library can accommodate, weird, wacky and wonderful with equal aplomb.

More unusual requests include having the bride arrive on elephant back, or the request to have a Thai macaque (monkey) as the ring bearer. Another couple wanted the ceremony to take place over the property's signature Red Pool. Prices are on request.

All weddings offer the options of a wedding planner, personal designer, celebrant, flower arrangements, wedding stationery, budget consultation, wedding cake, make up artist, hair stylist, light and sound engineer, accommodation and transfer arrangements.

For the honeymoon night The Library would recommend its Bookmark Suite which features a sleek red floor and 11 foot wide bed.
