Food Writer & TV Chef Ching-He Huang Gets a Taste of Taiwan for New Series on Food Network

January 2016: Food writer and TV chef, Ching-He Huang, returns to her home country of Taiwan to sample the culinary delights of Taipei in Food Network's new series 'Ching's Amazing Asia'. Taiwan features in two 30-minute episodes of this ten-part series, the first Taiwan episode will premiere on 8 February with the second following on the 28 February.

In this delicious new series from Food Network, the talented Ching delves into the world of local Asian eateries, discovering their secrets and providing culinary inspiration for people at home. During the series Ching will travel through across the continent visiting destinations famed for their cuisine including Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Okinawa and Tokyo.

Whilst in Taipei, Ching will uncover some of the best food from the capital, from Taiwanese spring rolls and three cup chicken to bao and stinky tofu. Ching will also visit the capital's best loved eateries and meet with the top Taipei 'foodies'.

“I was in born in Taiwan, and despite having lived all over the world, my culinary influences undoubtedly stem from the traditional cooking styles I grew up with. While filming in Taiwan I was able to rediscover my favourite Taiwanese dishes and reconnect with how the food really influences and reflects the culture there. Taiwan is now one of the hottest foodie destinations on earth, the Taiwanese dishes and eateries featured in 'Ching's Amazing Asia' really show that this is one of Asia's culinary gems.”
