Food adventure as only WILDfest™ can deliver, a regional highlight for Good Food Month presented by Citi
Australia's luxury wilderness experience brand, WILDFest™ is going from strength to strength with the two-signature food adventure experiences of the Wildfest™ Southern Highlands festival this October, now featured for Good Food Month presented by Citi. Created to re-connect people with the Wild in fresh and exciting ways, Wild Native Feast in a magical wilderness setting, surrounded by the ruins of Joadja Old Town and Canoes, Champagne & Canapés exploration of an ancient sunken forest are experiences that simply can't be found anywhere else.
“What is unique about WILDfest™ is that unplugging and immersing in nature doesn't mean compromising on creature comforts. And this is most certainly evident in our food and wine offer which is extraordinary with Grand Bistro and The Loch being part of the festival. We've raised the bar on the wilderness experience in this region and it's a formula that the industry and consumers alike are embracing.” Festival Director Amanda Fry says.
Wild Native Feast takes destination dining to a whole new level, venturing out into the untamed heart of one of the state's most spectacular, remote wilderness sites for a feast created to emulate the abundance all around in nature. Curated by chef Damien Monley of local dining institution, The Grand Bistro at Bowral, the feast will break through boundaries of expectation, to surprise and delight.
“Wild Native Feast is so unique in its nature. It's a visual feast with an element of theatre for 250 people, decked out in top hats and tiaras, seated out in a remote wilderness setting – that's real food adventure! It's a great platform to showcase the fantastic local produce, outstanding wines and breathtaking destinations that we have here in the Southern Highlands.” chef, Damien Monley, Grand Bistro Bowral.
Tickets for this 7 course feast including food, wine, transfers and formal dining wear are $345 per person or can be booked as part of the all-inclusive, 3-day Remote Glamping package. The ultimate experience of WILDfest™, this premium package begins with custom-designed bell tents, complete with concierge service, a wild bush spa, sumptuous meals and more as part of a tailored, three day itinerary of
magical wilderness encounters and unforgettable food adventure.

Canoes Champagne & Canapés is gastronome heaven, with locally foraged forest canapés and the region's best cool climate wines and craft beers aboard each custom-built, double-canoe rig. Designed for decadence, the wenona canoes have the stability of a catamaran, with built-in table-top and ice buckets. From October 27-29, a choice of three sessions are offered daily, in the morning, midday and afternoon.
“The canapés aboard the Wild Canoes are a real food adventure. I've worked with produce from The Loch Farm and some of our wonderful small farmers and artisans here in the Southern Highlands – like The Loch Lamb, in a foraged herb crust or skewered on Eucalyptus twigs; local springwater trout from Robertson and native yabbies with a wild lime mayo.” chef Brigid Kennedy, The Loch at Berrima.
