Sell Florida, Get Rewarded are now the watch words for thousands of U.S. travel agents. VISIT FLORIDA, the states official source for travel planning, has launched www.VISITFLORIDArewards.com, which offers special incentives for agents to sell the Sunshine State to their clients. Created in conjunction with the Performance Media Group, the Florida Rewards program also involves convention bureaus and more than 150 hotels throughout Florida.
The program allows travel agents to focus on and sell participating hotels through any channel, including wholesalers, hotel direct and GDS bookings. Agents then go to www.VISITFLORIDArewards.com and report the booking details. Performance Media Group validates the booking information with the participating property and credits the agents account with Agent Miles that can be redeemed for personal travel to any of the featured hotels as well as gift certificates and merchandise
Agents earn rewards on every booking they make to Florida so they can then experience the destination first hand, said Mark Murphy, president and CEO of Performance Media Group. Like all of our agent loyalty programs, hotels pay only when they get business that travels, Murphy added. This provides a unique pay-for-performance approach to helping suppliers connect with, and develop business from, individual travel agents across the United States.
Travel agents are and will continue to be a vital link between consumers and the Florida experience, said Bud Nocera president and CEO of VISIT FLORIDA. We were looking for a way to give agents even more reasons to recommend Florida to their clients and to thank them for their loyalty. We believe www.VISITFLORIDArewards.com serves that purpose.
