Floral Fantasy - Returns to Crown - 2005

Crown Melbourne Limited

Returning to Crown's Atrium in spring will be this stunningly unique floral exhibition. From 3 - 23 October 2005, six specially constructed, oversized installations incorporating over 200,000 individual fresh flowers will be on display to the public.

Set against the dramatic black marble of the Atrium and incorporating Crown's unique water features, some of the world's most exotic feathered creatures including flamingos, peacocks and cranes will be presented in a distinctive floral display of colour and creativity.

Transcending a traditional flower show, the exotic creations will be a breath-taking delight of colour, fragrance and texture showcasing such floral blooms as Singapore orchids, Asia lilies and red Berlin roses.

A team of 20 florists has been assembled to decorate the steel, foam and fibregalss structures, some measuring over three metres in height, with specially constructed water containers within ensuring that the blooms will retain their vibrancy and vitality for the duration of the show.

Crown's Floral Fantasy is free to the public and on display all day, every day.
