VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA - Floating restaurants are the newest culinary trend to hit Victoria, BC, providing delicious cheap eats fresh from the sea.

Sitting on the north side of Ship's Point Wharf, Salt Spring Tours offers visitors a dockside take-away lunch service from their boat, Pride of Victoria. Known for "smoke and float," the company serves BBQ-style, smoke house themed foods with meals priced from $6 to $10 CDN. Visitors with a little extra time are welcome to hop onboard and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Victoria's Inner Harbour. Open Wednesday through Sunday, 12-5 p.m.

With a traditional food truck already in the downtown core, Puerto Vallarta Amigos opened their first floating location at Fisherman's Wharf earlier this year. This taco joint serves up quesadillas, tortas and tacos in six delicious flavours including their famous Baja-style fish tacos, deemed a must-try in the city. Open from 11 a.m. until dusk, food items at Puerto Vallarta Amigos range in price from $7 to $12 CDN.

The Fish Store, also located at Fisherman's Wharf, offers a variety of fish and seafood so fresh they have never touched land! Seafood is taken straight from the waters off the dock and creatively mastered into menu items. The Fish Store also features a gluten-free menu for visitors with special dietary needs. With soups from $3.75 CDN to full meals at $15 CDN, this local favourite caters to the money-conscious mind and is open from 11 a.m. until dusk.
