Coach brand FlixBus is announcing the launch of a new service between the East of England, Heathrow and Luton DART Parkway from 25 May.
Six daily departures each way will offer travellers a convenient, affordable link between East Anglia, Cambridgeshire and Luton airport, ahead of the busy summer season.
Coach services will offer travel from Norwich Bus Station, Norwich University of East Anglia, Thetford Bus Interchange, Cambridge Parkside, Cambridge Trumpington Park and Ride, before arriving at Luton DART Parkway.
Tickets to and from Heathrow and Luton DART Parkway from Norwich start at £8.99, while tickets between Thetford and Luton DART Parkway start at £8.49. Tickets between Cambridge and Luton DART Parkway start at £6.99, while tickets between Cambridge and Heathrow start at £5.99.
Shamil Maindiratta, Managing Director of FlixBus UK, commented: "We're proud to launch this new route and offer passengers across East Anglia and Cambridgeshire direct, affordable, and sustainable travel options to international airports.
"Rather than complicated interconnections, passengers can enjoy a comfortable journey that extends their holiday from the moment they step on board."
The travel tech company, known for its bright green vehicles, recently celebrated its 5th anniversary in the UK, and now offers over 100 destinations on its network.
Linsey Sweet, Service Director for Luton Rising, the Luton Council company that owns London Luton Airport and operates the Luton DART, said: “Coach and bus connections are a vital component in the sustainable operation and growth of our airport.
“We are delighted to have supported Flixbus in bringing forward this new service connecting key markets in the east of England with Luton DART services to the airport.”
From Norwich and Thetford, passengers can also find daily FlixBus services to central London.
"Heathrow's extensive coach network provides direct links to many towns and cities across the country, and we believe there are lots of opportunities for new or improved services," said Matthew Wooll, Route Development Lead at Heathrow Airport.
"We want to see more passengers and colleagues choosing to use public transport to the airport, which takes cars off the road and reduces emissions and congestion, in line with our sustainability goals."
FlixBus tickets include luggage and free Wi-Fi and charging on every vehicle.
Tickets for the service are available now on the FlixBus app and www.flixbus.co.uk
