First to Be Marine Tourism Accredited in Australia

Horizontal Falls Seaplane Adventures

The team at Horizontal Falls Seaplane Adventures are thrilled to announce that they are the first tour operator to be awarded Marine Tourism Accreditation in Australia.

Operated by a devoted team of family and friends, the business has worked hard to ensure that they consistently provide the highest level of service and deliver exceptional tours time and time again. The accreditation solidifies their passion not only for the tourism industry, but also their dedication to protect the Horizontal Falls as a destination, so that guests may continue to enjoy its wonder for many more years to come.

Developed by Tourism Council WA for the Department of Fisheries, the Best Practice Standards have lead the way in marine tourism accreditation. The program provides not only assurance to consumers that they are receiving a quality tourism experience, but also assists in maintaining the same level of service across all current and future marine tour operators.

Not to mention, the Standards help marine tourism operators such as Horizontal Falls Seaplane Adventures demonstrate that they have met regulatory requirements, and are making contributions in the effort toward minimising their impact on the marine environment. Teamed with the national accreditation program, the WA Marine Tour Operators Best Practice Standards are paving the way for streamlining the Marine Tourism Sector.

The Kimberley region in particular has been highlighted as an area that requires a great deal of attention, considering its world class status as a marine environment. Owner Troy Thomas has been involved in Western Australia's tourism industry for many years and explains, “We are very passionate about the Kimberley region, and especially the tourism experience that we've created out here. For these reasons, we want our customers to experience the phenomenon of the Horizontal Falls in an unforgettable way, and we understand the importance of preserving the landscape that we have access to so that we can keep doing what we love.”

Horizontal Falls Seaplanes Adventures offer a diverse range of tours that depart from Broome or Derby. Operating daily, customers have the ability to explore the Horizontal Falls and the wider region as half day, full day, overnight and four night alternatives. Prices start from $695 per adult, and $595 per child (4 – 12 years), and bookings can be made by calling the office on (08) 9192 1172, or by emailing bookings@horizontalfalls.com.au.
