Developed by Tourism Council WA for the Department of Fisheries, the Best Practice Standards have lead the way in marine tourism accreditation. The program provides not only assurance to consumers that they are receiving a quality tourism experience, but also assists in maintaining the same level of service across all current and future marine tour operators.

Not to mention, the Standards help marine tourism operators such as Horizontal Falls Seaplane Adventures demonstrate that they have met regulatory requirements, and are making contributions in the effort toward minimising their impact on the marine environment. Teamed with the national accreditation program, the WA Marine Tour Operators Best Practice Standards are paving the way for streamlining the Marine Tourism Sector.

The Kimberley region in particular has been highlighted as an area that requires a great deal of attention, considering its world class status as a marine environment. Owner Troy Thomas has been involved in Western Australia's tourism industry for many years and explains, “We are very passionate about the Kimberley region, and especially the tourism experience that we've created out here.
