Alkina Lodge

Perched on a hilltop overlooking the Southern Ocean, Alkina Lodge offers the discerning traveller private, luxury accommodation on the Great Ocean Road.

Less than 3 hours drive from Melbourne, we offer visitors the perfect way to switch off and connect with nature. Our three luxury lodges are set on over 100 acres of pristine native bush, and we are blessed with stunning views of the ocean and abundant wildlife.

Wildlife lovers will be in their element. We are usually visited by kangaroos and wallabies on a daily basis, and there is a multitude of birdlife around the lodges. From May to October whale watching is possible nearby and not too far away you'll also be able to find koalas, echidnas and little penguins.

We are the closest luxury accommodation to the iconic Twelve Apostles , and we are also within very easy access of other popular locations such as Wreck Beach, the Great Ocean Walk and the Otway Ranges.

Our three luxurious 4-bedroom lodges were designed by Australia's most renowned architect Glenn Murcutt and his partner Wendy Lewin. They are beautifully appointed with designer furniture, a Gaggenau dream kitchen, a high end audio system and a bespoke open fireplace.

Our accommodation is very flexible and suits couples, families and groups. Each of the three lodges has four bedrooms, so we can accommodation up to 24 people while still offering complete luxury and privacy.

Alkina Lodge has been in operation since August 2015 and is owned by Michael and Sue Minshall. After nearly two years of very successful operations, we are attending ATE for the first time this year and are looking forward to working with trade and industry partners whose customers are seeking a way to escape in style.

“Alkina Lodge combines a sense of adventure and relaxation and gives new meaning to the word luxury. Beyond being just a place to stay, Alkina is an experience like no other. Our philosophy is nothing is too much trouble, and we would rather have a vacancy than an unhappy guest”
