Fix your LOTR 'hobbit' with Travelbag from �655 On 24 March 2006 the first major musical stage adaptation of JRR Tolkein's Lord of the Rings opens in Toronto. The �11.5m show features a combination of text, physical theatre, music and dance that has never previously been seen on this scale and opens in March at the Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto following previews in February. The opening date coincides with the 70th anniversary of Tolkein starting to write the trilogy and the 50th anniversary of its complete publication. The show is produced by Kevin Wallace, a former Andrew Lloyd Webber collaborator who produced Jesus Christ Superstar and Sunset Boulevard and features music by Finnish group Varttina and Bollywood composer A.R. Rahman, responsible for the U.K. hit Bombay Dreams. Lord of the Rings is scheduled to open in London in autumn 2006.
