Fiona Jeffery Issues A Rally Cry For Kayakers At This Year's ITT Conference

Just a Drop

Calling all paddlers! Fancy a bit of healthy competition before getting down to business?

Just a Drop is offering delegates at this year's ITT Conference the opportunity to make a splash on the stunning coastline of Malta and support the charity as part of Just a Drop's Kayak Challenge

As well as raising much needed funds for Just a Drop, you will be kayaking past the scenic sandy bays, harbours and amazing sites of Malta, such as Valletta, Sliema and Fort Manoel. The kayaks are designed for two, and you and your partner will complete three laps of the island (with a break in between in each stage).

We have designed the challenge to ensure that everyone can take part, no matter what your level of fitness! What's more, your efforts will be rewarded with a number of prizes up for grabs including: challenge winner, best mascot and best dressed.

Fiona says, “Just a Drop is very appreciative of all the support shown by ITT members over the years, and I hope that this year's kayaking fundraiser will inspire you to take part – I'm certainly going to and I'm looking forward to putting my paddling strokes to the test! All the monies you raise will be used to fund an ITT clean water project in a community that desperately needs it, so please do show your support if you can and join in the fun!”

Dr Steven Freudmann, ITT Chairman, says, “ITT has been a proud supporter of Just a Drop for many years and thanks to your generosity, the charity has been able to change the lives of thousands of children and families worldwide through the simple gift of clean water. I hope that many of you will take to the water in Malta this year to enable ITT to support another community in need of clean water, ensuring that Just a Drop's vital work can continue.”

The challenge is taking place on Sunday 1st June – one day before the conference is due to start. There is a registration fee of £55 which covers all costs and we are asking all competitors to aim to raise or donate £200 along the way.
