'FINS at Plantation House- A CELEBRATION OF 25 YEARS AND BEYOND'

Destination Tweed is proud to pay homage to one of the regions finest ambassadors and purveyors of food Steven Snow and his team at Fins. From humble beginnings in Brunswick Heads to the beachside buzz of Byron Bay to its latest contemporary home at Salt Kingscliff

Fins has been a leading restaurant for 25 years (and counting) and at the helm has been the charismatic Chef Steven Snow, known for his love of surfing, seafood and that beaming smile. Along with his talented sommelier wife Morgan Snow they have formulated a solid partnership that includes cook books, radio shows, design consultancy roles, overseas ventures and guest appearances all over the world.

At the heart of this creative team is their love of regional flavours and the passion they share for their community. 'Snowy' as he is affectionately known can be found most mornings barefoot on the marina, waiting for the best catch to come in. Well known by many a fisherman, he refers to himself as a 'simple fish cook'

General Manager and wife Morgan Snow said “Snowy is obsessed with fresh, line caught fish, he rarely reads a cookbook and credits the grandmothers of Portugal and the fishermen of Indonesia for his love of simple, traditional, fresh food”

The next tasty incarnation from this dynamic duo is the soon to be launched 'Fins at Plantation House'. Snowy points to Morgan for this creative endeavor and notes it has been her passion to ignite this unique plantation style venue.

The double story white homestead is set on top of a hill adjacent to Tropical Fruit World, the property boasts some of the regions finest views across the valleys to Mt Warning Wollumbin in Northern NSW. The idyllic garden piazza will host many a soirée and promises to deliver on simple food utilizing the freshest local produce from across the region.

Some of the industries finest are flying in to celebrate, which is a testament to Snowy and his 25 years. Join celebrity chef Luke Mangan, food critic Simon Thomsen, Creative Director John Fink and Chef Geoff Lindsey to toast all things Fins.
