Ultra-luxury Sentosa Island resort Capella Singapore is celebrating the festive season with a month of seasonal activities leading up to a spectacular New Year's Eve party to welcome 2011 in with style and luxury.

Wednesday 1st December - Singapore's premier resort hotel kicks-off the festive celebrations with a Christmas tree lighting ceremony hosted by General Manager Mr Robert Lagerwey including traditional gluhwein and eggnog.

The tree will have a chic display of unique ornaments provided by Tiffany, and it is definitely a must see. Invited guests can leave a Holiday Gift at the foot of the tree, which all gifts and proceeds will be donated to the Life Community Service Society.

Christmas Eve - On Friday 24th December, the celebrations start with an afternoon ornament painting class for kids. The evening celebrations begin with traditional drinks and canapés followed by dinner at The Knolls at 6.30pm, after which a movie night will tell the story of Christmas. Guests can join in singing Christmas carols during the evening and overnight guests will awake to a Christmas stocking of gifs from Santa.

Christmas Day - Jingle bells will be ringing on Saturday 25th December with Santa Claus and Santa Rina delighting children with gifts, pony rides and a Christmas cookie decoration class by pastry chef Adam Thomas. A traditional festive lunch is being served for all to enjoy at The Knolls.

Boxing Day - On Sunday 26th December an afternoon 'Grill & Chill' barbecue lunch is followed by a sinfully indulgent Valrhona Chocolate Dessert Buffet as children play games, jump on inflatable bouncy castles and feast on their own mini-buffet in Capella's playroom.

New Years Eve - On Friday 31st December, Capella Singapore invites guests to ring in the New Year 'Under The Stars' by the Poolside Lounge, complete with light tapas and live chef stations.

Guests will be welcomed with Tattinger Comtes de Champagne followed by Dom Pérignon vintage Champagne flowing freely during the remainder of the evening. Capella's mixologists at The Rock Bar will showcase an array of creative cocktails as well.

The world class DJ from Paris, Marc Ricci will get the party started slowly from 7:30pm, with live music playing later throughout the evening by the poolside. World renowned Flamenco dancers accompanied by a Spanish guitar virtuoso promise performances that will be one of the highlights of the evening. Young ones can play among themselves in Capella's playroom with bouncy castles, latest Wii games, popcorn, candy floss and other favorite foods and be spoilt by the sumptuous food selection specially prepared for you by our culinary master chefs.

For the 'Ultimate New Year Experience', a package of two nights' accommodation starting at $S4,600 includes the countdown party with a delectable festive gourmet dinner.

Also included is a VIP preview of Aperlai designer Burak Uyan's latest "it" shoe collection at an exclusive 'Aperlai Fashion Tea' event on New Year's Day. Enjoy a 'Vintage Beach Picnic' on January 2, with guests chauffeured by vintage car for a leisurely Sunday stroll and picnic along Palawan beach.

Saturday 4th, 11th & 18th December - 'Peacock' tea parties for kids feature enchanting acts by magicians, with face painting and balloon sculptures. Children will also embark on a unique heritage hunt through the gorgeous hotel grounds in search of the resorts peacocks and take home a souvenir of the resort's mascot bird.

Daily throughout December - Elegant daily 'Capella Christmas Tea' is available on weekdays throughout December, except New Year's Eve, from Monday - Friday at 3-5pm. Against the backdrop of soothing music by a resident harpist, tea is prepared by a tea master and ladies are treated to a Tiffany souvenir.

Exclusive spa treatment - Guests can recharge from festive season indulgence with a luxurious full body massage at Capella Singapore's Auriga Spa. Anti-ageing body firming massage available from December 1-January 31 uses rare organic oils of Tamanu, Kigelia and Blackcurrant to reduce visible signs of ageing and fatigue by toning and firming the skin. It is priced at a special festive season rate of S$280 for 100 minutes
