Festivals, 5Ks and Flying Pumpkins Fill Aurora's Fall Calendar
Sept. 21, 2015 – Aurora, COLORADO – The weather is getting brisk and the leaves are starting to turn … just a two of the signs that fall is just around the corner. From Fall Festivals to the Harvest Moon 5K and the fan favorite Punkin Chunkin, Aurora's fall events lineup is filled with family fun.
SEPTEMBER
May Farms Run Series: Harvest Moon 5K
Date: September 26
Time: registration opens at 5 p.m.
The May Farms Run Series is a unique event series, running on a specially designed Earthen Track on a working Colorado farm. The Harvest Moon Run (5K) features maximum exposure to the full moon rise during the run, two lighted tunnels in course, Native American Harvest Moon Ceremony, Agricultural Expo, BBQ, one free beer with registration, Grant's Country Moonshine available for purchase, bonfire with S'mores, DJ Revolution, a corn maze and hayrides.

24th Women's and 32nd Men's World Masters Powerlifting Championships
Date: September 28 – October 4
Time: all day
This International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) sanctioned competition will be held at the Radisson Hotel Denver Southeast.

OCTOBER
Harvest Fest 2015 at May Farms
Date: Weekends in October
Time: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Join May Farms any weekend in October, to find all the delights of Autumn and fun for the entire family! This event is open to the public. Admission is $10 per person, with all proceeds benefiting The Country Kids Foundation. The events will feature food and spirits, free parking, pumpkin patch, corn maze, hay rides, barrel train, pumpkin cannon, face painting and more.

Punkin Chunkin Colorado
Date: October 10 – 11
Time: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday; 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Sunday
Punkin Chunkin Colorado is a two-day event where people travel for miles to see how far they can lob a gourd. 2015 event will mark the 18th year for this zany activity that engages the energy and ingenuity of youth and adults, while inspiring a fresh twist of creativity. Please note...no pets are allowed at Punkin Chunkin Colorado. In addition to the competition, the event offers an exciting fall festival complete with family activities, pumpkin patch, fall market, food vendors and a beer garden!

20th Annual FallFest

FallFest is an annual harvest festival of outdoor activities for children, teens and families in the Aurora Cultural Arts District. It offers a fun environment to enjoy entertainment, games, sports, giveaways, art, music and refreshments.

Cherry Arts Fest at Stanley
