Feel Good Video Vignettes Promote The Legendary Pacific Coast to The World

The Legendary Pacific Coast (Touring Route)

Australia's most popular touring route, The Legendary Pacific Coast, has launched a suite of brand new video vignette's to promote this self-drive experience to audiences around the world.

"The five new videos focus on Working Holidays, The Hinterland & Nature, Surf and Coast, Food and Wine and Arts and Culture bringing to life the colour, character and diversity of our popular drive," said The Legendary Pacific Coast Project Coordinator, Ms Kim MacDonald.

"Each vignette has a real sense of fun and discovery and captures the emotive appeal of a self-drive holiday experience.

"That's what The Legendary Pacific Coast is all about - encouraging visitors to relax, leave the highway and make their own personal discoveries among the many great villages, rural pastures, lakes, rivers, beaches and mountains dotted along the route and easily identified with a Legendary Pacific Coast Touring Guide, website and iPhone app." http://pacificcoast.com.au/

The first of the five videos to be launched this week is about Working Holidays on The Legendary Pacific Coast. http://pacificcoast.com.au/trails-and-itineraries/backpacker-working-holiday-trail

"The Working Holiday video will feature on Tourism Australia's Youtube channel in support of its new Global Youth Campaign. We are excited that The Legendary Pacific Coast will have the opportunity to reach so many potential young visitors to promote our popular drive and our state."

Four other themed video vignettes will be launched over the coming weeks across social media platforms, through tourism industry partners, Destination NSW, Tourism Australia and local and international media.

"The videos were produced by Rest Your Eyes Productions in Byron Bay. The sound track by local band Floating Bridges is a vibrant work that captures the spirit of the drive," said Ms MacDonald.

The vignettes were developed by the North Coast Destination Network and supported by the NSW Government's tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW through the 2011/12 Regional Tourism Product Development Program.
