HF Holidays has launched its new Family Adventures 2014 programme offering specifically designed holidays for all the family - young children, teenagers, parents, single parents and grandparents - including options for those wishing to walk, cycle or plan their own activities, plus a new family walking adventure based at Norcia in the scenic Umbrian countryside.

On its Family Walking Adventures in the UK, for example, the whole family can enjoy great walks in the countryside with friendly leaders and other families.  There's a choice of up to four specially planned walks every day including a new shorter option of up to four miles which often finishes at a beach or returns early to make use of the Country House facilities. 

Leaders will also be on hand to help organise games, crafts and activities in the late afternoon and evening.  Based at a choice of its UK Country Houses with family friendly facilities - rooms to play in, grounds to explore and pools to swim in - these holidays are great value with under 11s going free and 11-17 year olds save 50%.

Multi-Activity Adventures - action-packed holidays for children aged eight and over with activities including abseiling, canoeing and caving - are also based at some of these Country Houses and run alongside the Family Walking Adventures so that adults and any other kids can enjoy the walks with everyone meeting up at the end of the day for fun evening activities.

In addition, Family Walking Adventures are available at some of the company's most popular resorts in Europe - there's the new option at Norcia which explores the beautiful hills of Umbria and the Sibillini National Park - whilst in the Alps, families use the network of cable cars and chairlifts to get right up into the mountains to discover amazing Alpine walks.

Or, families can pedal through picturesque countryside exploring a new country and culture on a Family Cycling Adventure in Europe with options including the castles and old towns of Brittany and cycling along the shores of the River Danube.

Alternatively, families wishing to explore independently can enjoy a Country House Break staying at any of the company's UK Country Houses and planning their own activities such as walking, cycling, visiting the sights, enjoying the house facilities or heading to a beach.

As an example of prices, a four-night full-board Family Walking Adventure in the Derbyshire Dales at February half-term costs £359 per adult, children (11 to 17 years and sharing with an adult) pay £179 each, whilst under 11s are free of charge.
