a leading provider of family activity breaks in France, has some superb deals on its Normandy programme during the upcoming school summer holidays. Plus, prices are fully inclusive of a packed activity programme that will keep the whole family on its toes.

All Family Adventure Holidays' summer deals can be found here and must be booked by Friday 29 June.

Families who book the Normandy Chateau Adventure for selected weeks pay £1,096 for four

To benefit from the saving of more than £600, they must arrive the week beginning 21 July – a bonus for those with children at Scottish or public schools – or 4, 18 and 25 August. Price £299/£249 adults/kids, based on four sharing a family bunk-bed room. Children aged two to five years pay just £160.

Families who book the Normandy La Grand' Ferme Adventure arriving 29 July pay £999 for four

This represents a saving of more than £280 per family for this six-night holiday. Alternatively, families can take advantage of the same deal as at the Chateau, paying £1,096 per family for a seven-night trip on the same room basis, arriving on 4, 11 or 18 August. Children aged two to five years pay just £120. Guests at this property also benefit from an activity day off-site at the Chateau, an ideal taster of what's on offer at the other property.

At both sites, accommodation can be upgraded to the Woodland Villages – clusters of treehouses, yurts and cabins with double beds – for a supplement of £250. Price £1,346 for four, saving £550.

Prices include accommodation as described, all meals and a six-day programme of age-specific activities for children and separate pursuits for adults, as well as all-family sessions. Activities across both sites include: bike trips, canoeing, Aeroball, archery, T-shirt-making, baking, and the mini-farm. Meanwhile family-bonding opportunities include It's a Knockout, disco, Mont St Michel bay walk with quicksands, quiz and karaoke sessions. Many other activities specific to each centre are also included. There is good availability at both sites.

There are also savings to be made on a new break for 2018. The four-night Opal Coast Summer Adventure is based at the three-star Hotel Moulin aux Draps, in the Pas de Calais, offering guests a little more luxury in their accommodation, Available from 30 July and 6 August, there is a special introductory offer of £329 per adult and £299 per child, including four nights' full board (including wine), a full programme of activities and excursions to Boulogne-sur-Mer and Le Touquet.

Meanwhile, FAH still has availability, with savings to be had, on its other two activity holiday programmes down in the South of the country. It's offering £50 per person discount on its Original Ardèche White-Water Adventure. The small-group break is based at the 3* Le Ch'ti Franoi and features a full five-day activity programme, including an exciting two-day descent of the river down the famous Ardèche Gorges – the European Grand Canyon – and a couple of free days to experience the local culture and explore the region. The trips are best-suited to families with children over eight, but no experience is necessary for any of the activities.

Down from £558 to £508 (weeks of 21 and 28 July and 4, 11, 18 August), and £508 to £458 (for the week of 25 August), including six nights' self-catering in a two-bedroom mobile home; climbing, abseiling, weaselling and high ropes; two-day descent of Ardèche Gorges with overnight bivi, evening barbecue and breakfast; picnic lunches, in-resort transfers.

Mediterranean Beach Club is a seven-night water sports tuition holiday based in Argelès sur Mer, southern France, and is offered on a self-catering basis in mobile homes at the four-star Camping Taxo Les Pins. The action-packed week is designed to offer activities both for the whole family, and for adults and children separately. It centres on a top-quality water sports programme led by very experienced instructors, including windsurfing, sailing, kayaking, white-water rafting, canyoning, snorkelling and stand-up paddleboarding – all taking place against the beautiful backdrop of the Pyrenees.

Tuition takes place either on the Plage des Pins, in the heart of Argelès, or the experienced Med Adventure team takes guests into the Albères, where navigating the gorges and rapids of the River Aude will leave the whole family grinning with glee. And, if this isn't enough to get them going, there's a canyoning experience to get them pumped up.

The holiday aims to deliver action and adventure every day, but nothing is compulsory. Family Adventure Holidays has a private area on the sands, where it's possible to enjoy a more leisurely break, pulling up a deckchair to admire the views and watch the family hone their new skills.

Price: Adults £649, child (5-15) £649, for seven nights' self-catering, based on minimum of four sharing a two- or three-bedroom mobile home, including two BBQs and packed lunches on full activity days, all tuition. Notes to editors:

Family Adventure Holidays offers adventure and activity holidays at great-value prices in locations on the Opal Coast and the French Med and in Normandy and the Ardèche. There are no hidden extras, and
some are offered on an all-inclusive basis. All breaks include a flexible programme of activities designed
for specific age groups combined with activities for the whole family. The holidays do not include international travel.

The company was founded in 2012 by Nigel English under the umbrella of Voyager School Travel (Class Tours Ltd), a leading operator in the school travel sector.

As parents of children across the age range, Nigel and his wife Lisa, who has since joined the business, have a true understanding of what makes a fantastic holiday for all the family. This is complemented by years of experience providing educational, activity and adventure holidays to schools, led by staff who are recruited for their engaging, encouraging and fun demeanour, to fit with the company ethos and high standards of safety. The intimate size of the venues ensures that the staff get to know all the families.

The incredibly low price of the holidays reflects the no-frills accommodation, with limited double beds available in certain centres. But no compromises are made on cleanliness, the excellent quality of food, prepared by French chefs, and the unrivalled activity packages led by talented animateurs and qualified sports coaches.

The holidays, based at five centres, include:

  • NEW for 2018 Opal Coast Easter and Summer Adventures near Boulogne: both fully inclusive (with some wine), and based at the three-star Hotel Moulin aux Draps, set in 22 acres and offering lodgings in interconnecting rooms, doubles, twins, singles and dorms;

  • La Grand' Ferme in Normandy: a fully inclusive family adventure, set in a country estate with
  • outdoor pool in the village of La Fougeray, featuring lodgings in a traditional farmhouse and two gîtes, which can host a maximum of 14 families;

    the Ardeche Gorge, offered on a self-catering basis in mobile homes at the three-star Camping
    Le Ch'ti Franoi campsite, with total capacity for up to nine families, or on a B&B basis in Hotel
    de l'Europe.
