The Family Adventure Company has added to its programme of trips for 2017 and moulded the tours to fit the latest family travel trends. The specialist operator is increasing the number of departures by 35% for next year and taking the number of trips from 40 to 47.
With last week's Ofcom research finding that British children are spending at least five hours a day on their smartphones, tablets and TVs, families are increasingly looking for more active holidays to tempt kids away from gadgets. To meet this demand, new tours from The Family Adventure Company include an active trip to Slovenia and an epic 12-day trip to Thailand, Vietnam and Laos. The operator is also increasing the number of 'comfort' trips, which provide a higher standard of accommodation and private transport, from 14 to 52 departures.
Having seen the strongest growth come from Asia, the operator is adding five new trips to the region and increasing departures on the rest of the range.
New Comfort Holidays
Families will have the chance to watch young Orangutans learn to climb on this new 12-day trip to Borneo. Starting and finishing in Kota Kinabalu, the trip includes a visit to a local home in Dusan Village, a walk through Kinabalu National Park and a night in the wild on a jungle camp in Kinabatangan River. From there, the trip will visit the Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary and explore an incredible underwater world in Pulau Tiga National Park.

During this Italian family adventure holiday groups will enjoy two great Mediterranean cities - Naples and Sorrento. See history wcome alive exploring the ruins of Herculaneum and Pompeii, enjoy a relaxing day on Capri Island, discover the Blue Grotto by boat, and climb the mighty dormant volcano of Vesuvius.

Thailand Active Family Holiday
Explore the busy streets of Bangkok and Chiang Mai on this energetic family adventure in Thailand. Families will glide across the Mae Teang River on a kayaking voyage, fly through the jungle on a thrilling zip lining experience in Chiang Mai and cycle to riverside villages outside of Bangkok. There's also a chance to learn about rural Thai life on a village visit.

Croatian Active Family Holiday
This multi-activity family holiday to the Starigrad-Paklenica region of Croatia is great for those that love water and excitement. Families will run the rapids whilst white water rafting along the Zrmanja River. There is also a boat trip to Kornati National Park and a chance to explore caves and gorges with a hike and bike through Paklenica National Park. This is all combined with cycling through the pastel coloured fishing village of Vinjerac.

This heart-thumping seven day adventure will have the family scaling the High Atlas Mountains, trekking through scenic Berber Villages and mountain bike riding down the slopes. Slovenia Active Family Holiday
Treat the family to the fairytale-like wonder of Slovenia, complete with sparkling emerald lakes, romantic island churches and medieval castles just waiting to be explored.
