In the words of Frank Sinatra, “Start spreading the news” – QT is serving a slice of New York's Broadway scene again in Sydney! A huge hit with patron's last year, famed piano bar and destination of choice for Broadway fans and stars alike, Marie's Crisis, is returning to QT Sydney this March as part of The Sydney Morning Herald Spectrum Now Festival presented by ANZ.

Marie's Crisis is a New York institution, made famous by the singing, merrymaking and celebrity cameos that characterise it. Visitors are transported each visit into a bold foray of musical theatre paving the way for endless possibilities in which anything could happen.

Inspired by the original Marie's Crisis New York piano bar, a pop up at QT Sydney's Parlour Lane Roasters next to the State Theatre is in town for a 10 night stint from 1 – 10 March, and will see the original hosts flown from West Village to help create the 'ode to Broadway', where everyday punters will be given the opportunity to rub shoulders with musical theatre stars. Other Australian celebrity guests are likely to be spotted amongst the crowd at this premiere event so don't be surprised to find yourself belting out musical theatre classics next to some of Sydney's best voices.

With a drink list inspired by New York, including a Tito's Vodka “Sweet Crisis Iced Tea”, Parlour Lane Roasters will be serving up glasses of courage for those feeling a little sing shy.  Birra Moretti will also be served on tap and a selection by Jackson Family Wines.  

The month long event that is Spectrum Now celebrates the vibrancy and diversity of contemporary art and design, music, film, literature and the stage in Sydney. The partnership with Spectrum Now highlights QT Sydney's dedication to supporting and showcasing Sydney's vibrant arts, music and culture scene.
