Facilimate Hotels is continuing to expand with the acquisition of the 82 room Coral Cay Resort in Mackay, Queensland bringing the total to six hotels in Australia that Facilimate Hotels currently owns and operates.

Managing Director Stephen Lauder said, “Our investment strategy is driven by the desire to purchase attractively priced hotels with vacant possession in key cities and regional markets. Then with a refurbishment, new sales and marketing approach and centralising support services we are able to reposition the hotel”.

Coral Cay Resort will be the first regional property in the group and is well situated between the Group's Pacific Hotel Brisbane and Pacific Hotel Cairns to offer the company more of a stake hold in the growing Queensland market. With current clients of our Cairns and Brisbane hotels needing accommodation for workers in Mackay Mr Lauder stated they saw synergies adding the Coral Cay Resort to their portfolio.

The 82 room Hotel located on Nebo Road, Mackay, offers a variety of accommodation options for business and leisure travellers alike. The convenient location is close to Mackay's CBD, major sporting facilities, Showground, the Entertainment and Convention Centre, Base Hospital and just a 7-minute drive from the Airport.
