- Trevella Park launches Ranger activities for July and August
- Campfire storytelling and guide to 50 Great Adventures included too
- Summer holiday prices start from £469 for safari tents
A Cornish holiday park is daring families to go adventuring and discover the wild-side of the north Cornwall coast and countryside this summer.
Trevella Park has recruited its first Park Ranger to help holidaying youngsters come face-to-face with the bugs, bats and beasties that live in and around the park's own nature reserve and lakes, or scuttle along the streams, rock pools and sands of nearby Crantock Beach.
Intrepid adventurers can take part in the Ranger-led sessions during holidays at Trevella Park from July 26 to August 30. To find out more visit www.trevella.co.uk or call 01637 830 308.
Adventurous activities, which are free of charge, will include:
- spooky night-time walks to spot moths and bats
- building animal homes and feeding stations
- pulling on wellies and waterproofs to discover underwater insects
- exploring underground mammal burrows with tiny cameras
- catching bugs with pit-fall traps
- survival skills including shelter building and map reading
- freshwater fishing for beginners
- campfire storytelling
50 Adventures in Cornwall
To inspire families before their visit, Trevella Park has launched its own guide to 50 Great Adventures in Cornwall, available at http://www.trevella.co.uk/50-holiday-activities-cornwall/.
The list features daring activities for tots which include playing in the rain, going on a barefoot walk, spotting a shooting star and hunting for crabs.
Family adventures cover everything from beach barbecues to horse-riding along the Gannel River, while ideas for couples include food and river festivals, coastal and countryside walks, sea kayaking, coasteering and sea fishing.
Barry Templeman, general manager at Trevella Park says: "Simple pleasures fill a family holiday with happy memories - a first bike ride, flipping rocks in search of crabs, flying through the air on a rope-swing - so we created the role of Park Ranger and our 50 Adventures guide to help our visitors get back in touch with nature."
School summer holidays at Trevella Holiday Park start from £469 for a safari tent and from £557 for a static caravan, both based on a seven-night stay for up to six people in August.
To book, go to www.trevella.co.uk or call 01637 830 308.
