Explore, the adventure travel specialists, has launched three more 'Explore Beyond' trips, a collection of innovative and original trips offering a truly unique travel experience.

Explore's new Tashkent to Tehran is an exciting 19 day overland adventure through Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Iran. This pioneering trip journeys along lesser-travelled stretches of the ancient silk route, stopping off to discover the ornate architecture in Samarkand, including the Shah-i-Zinda. The trip also visits Nissa Fortress in the city of Ashgabat and the underground lake of Kow Ata in Turkmenistan and crosses into Iran to spend time in the cities of Isfahan and Tehran. The trip departs on 24 September 2016 and costs from £3,499 per person. This price includes return flights; 17 nights' hotel and one night train accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis; transport and the services of an Explore Leader, driver and local guides.

Explore's new 15 day Sudan Expedition to Berenike offers a 4x4 journey across the arid desert of Sudan from Khartoum to the former gold mining city of Berenike. Most nights will be spent wild camping among the towering sand dunes, and customers will discover the ancient rock art at Bir Nurayet and meet the local nomads harvesting salt from a lake in the Atrun Crater. Explore the city of Berenike, situated on the banks of Wadi Allaqi where gold mining dates back to 1400BC and visit the Royal Necropolis of Meroe. Trips depart in November 2016 and costs from £3,395 per person. This price includes return flights, 13 nights' camping and one night hotel accommodation, all meals, transport and the services of an Explore Leader, driver and cook.

Explore's Discover Disko Bay – MV Cape Race offers 11 days on board a small 12 berth converted fishing vessel exploring the wilderness of the Arctic. Spot narwhals, beluga, minke and humpback whales from the ship, cruise by Zodiac through the rarely visited Uummannaq Fjord and enjoy the glacial landscapes, which is also home to abundant birdlife. There will be time to meet the small Inuit community of Niaqornat, home to 59 residents and make landings on remote islands. This trip departs in September 2016 and costs from £5,555 per person. This price includes seven nights' boat and three nights' hotel accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis, most meals and the services of an Expedition crew and naturalists.
