Explore DC's Wine Country in 2016

Visit Loudoun

The story of Loudoun includes a thriving wine industry, an emerging craft brewery scene and foods from farms that have been producing for generations. Here, outdoor adventure awaits, history is ready to be retold and family fun is around every corner. Here is just a taste of what to experience in 2016.

DC's Wine Country

With more than 40 wineries and tasting rooms, Loudoun is a premier East Coast wine region and leading the way in Virginia, which has been designated as one of the 10 Best Wine Travel Destinations by Wine Enthusiast Magazine. Known as DC's Wine Country due to its proximity to Washington D.C., Loudoun's wineries are nestled within winding roads, horse farms and historic estates. Our boutique wineries house tasting rooms in everything from rustic barns and intimate cellars to architecturally stunning facilities. During a visit, indulge in tastings, tours, food pairings and conversation with winemakers crafting award-winning wines.

 LoCo Ale Trail

Virginians have been producing wine for over 400 years but now the craft beer scene is making waves across the state. Loudoun is home to 18 craft breweries and the new LoCo Ale Trail. Take a break from the vino to sample small batch, hand-crafted local brews. Let your palate be your guide or follow one of the LoCo Ale Trail itineraries, which highlight everything from bikeable brews to dog friendly breweries.
