Explora Re-opens its Hotel in Atacama on December 21

explora

After one year of rebuilding and remodeling, explora opens its doors again. The summer solstice is when the sun is at its highest point over the horizon, heralding the beginning of the new summer season. This is a milestone in the calendar and the shortest night of the year, but also a milestone in explora's history: the reopening of explora Atacama.

Built within the San Pedro oasis, explora Atacama's privileged location is the perfect base from where to enjoy more than 40 explorations through the world's driest desert.
Explora has redesigned the hotel's common areas for added comfort but kept all the features that make the company the top exploration company to travel to South America.

Part of the explora experience includes exclusive hot springs at the Puritama Reserve; a private observatory with astronomical sessions within the hotel's precincts; a spa area with four interconnected outdoor pools; sauna and outdoors Jacuzzis; horses bred specifically for the area; and high performance bicycles to explore the desert and the High Andean plains. All of this under the guidance of a WFR-certified team of experts graduated from explora's own School of Guides.

With all this, explora Atacama is preparing its 50 rooms to welcome the travelers' community. And to mark this milestone in our history, explora is offering a special reopening benefit for the first months of the year, which consists of one complimentary night for every program of at least three nights.
