Vietnam's Mid-Autumn festival is called Tet Trung Thu and has been celebrated for more than 4,000 years, having marked the end of the rice harvest in the Red River Delta around the capital. The ancient town will be lit up with colourful lanterns which are made from bamboo with their covers of silk.

Visitors will be immersed in a magical space under the shade of lanterns in numerous alleys featuring handicraft products, costumes, pictures and stones. Especially, people visiting at this time can admire Hoai River and boats decorated with colourful lanterns. On the other side of the river is Nguyen Phuc Chu Street which is home to lots of bars.
