She has written on, travelled to, lived and breathed the business events industry for the past 25 years, and now she'll be doing it for micenet, with news that Jill Varley has joined the experienced team on a full time basis as associate editor.
Widely known and respected throughout the business events community as a journalist with a passion for travel and events, Jill's appointment adds additional strength to the already strong editorial team, says managing director and publisher, Helen Batt-Rawden.
Jill joins managing editor Brad Foster, editor Bev Malzard, regular Melbourne contributor Graeme Kemlo, and micenet's suite of contributing writers which include Ian Whitworth, Felicity Zadro, Bryan Holliday, Matthew Crouch, Stu Katzen, John Hackett, Nigel Collin, and most recently Lynne Schinella.
"As anybody working in the business events industry understands, maintaining and building relationships is how this segment operates, and Jill's reputation and experience will help BT Publishing retain the strong links that we have established over the past 15 years," Ms Batt-Rawden said.
"I have no doubt Jill will become an integral part of our small team and assist in giving our readers and subscribers the latest insights into this dynamic industry here and abroad. As an added bonus, Jill's not afraid to hit the dance floor when the opportunity arises."
