Fancy a ski break without the kids? Dreaming of hitting the slopes unburdened by thoughts of pick-up times at the crèche, lunchtime logistics and ski school tantrums? Or perhaps you just want to stay in a chalet where there will be no-one else's little ones running around?
The Alpine Club, a boutique chalet company specialising in the charming Trois Vallées resort of St Martin de Belleville, has just the answer. They provide adult-only, guaranteed child-free, shared chalet weeks throughout the season in one of their stunning, designer chalets.
Chalet Abode, which sleeps eight guests in four beautiful en-suite rooms, will be an exclusive, child-free zone the weeks of 17th, 24th, 31st January, 7th February, 6th and 13th March. So you can enjoy all the benefits of staying in a chalet, safe in the knowledge that there will be no noisy early teas, banging doors first thing in the morning or disturbed adult suppers – something that ski hotels simply cannot offer.
Helen Raemers, owner & manager of The Alpine Club, comments: “We are responding to client requests for a peaceful, stress-free, week-long escape to the mountains! We've been offering adult-only shared chalet weeks for ten years so are very experienced in running them, and we have now increased the number of weeks we offer because they are so popular.”
These child-free weeks cost from £1,265pp based on two people sharing a twin/super king-sized room. The holiday price includes seven nights luxury accommodation, cooked breakfast and afternoon tea daily, canapés and sumptuous five-course dinners on six nights, six pairs of premium wines, a champagne reception on arrival, plus a complimentary bar. It also includes a daily on-demand in-resort chauffeur service as well as local taxes. The only thing not included is the travel.
Helen adds: “Our guests seem to really appreciate the home from home element of staying in a chalet, while also having some genuine relaxation time. They can kick off their boots and relax in front of the roaring fire, then enjoy sublime food, from a professional chef with experience in Michelin star/AA Rosette restaurants, and wine as well as the company of like-minded other guests. The weeks also work really well if a couple ski at different levels and want to meet other people to ski with.”
Chalet Abode is a gorgeously refurbished 100-year-old Savoyard farmhouse with dazzling mountain views. Ancient oak beams and stone walls blend with stylishly contemporary furnishings and gleaming modern bathrooms. The bedrooms feature super comfy Hypnos beds with crisp Egyptian cotton linen, for a dreamy nights sleep.
