Evergreen Tours has announced plans for the construction of a fifth Emerald 'Star Ship', Emerald Belle.

“The stylish and innovative 'Star Ships' are exactly what the market has been waiting for. With Emerald Belle joining the fleet in 2016 Evergreen guests will have an even greater choice of sailings and stateroom availability on these award-winning river cruisers,” said Angus Crichton, General Manager Evergreen Tours.

Due to extremely positive guest and media feedback regarding the current 'Star Ship' design, Emerald Belle will be built in the same configuration as her four sister ships (see image: Evergreen Tours Emerald Sky LR).  Emerald Belle will be built in the Netherlands and is expected to be delivered in early 2016.

Unique features include a 24 m2 onboard heated swimming pool with a retractable glass roof (see image: Emerald Sky Onboard Pool LR) , which transforms into a cinema in the evening; two restaurants: Reflections, the main dining room, and The Terrace for breakfast and lunch; and cabin design with an indoor balcony complete with decked area and an open-air system. The top half of the floor-to-ceiling panoramic window drops down to allow an open-air opportunity at the touch of a button, and top suites separate the balcony from the cabin with sliding doors. The ships also feature an onboard hairdresser, massage therapy room and fitness area.

Launched in 2014, Evergreen's Emerald 'Star Ships' cater to the four star plus market by using five-star ships, superior service and a virtually all-inclusive pricing plan. They carry 182 guests in 72 suites and 20 staterooms, including two built for solo occupancy.
