TAIPEI, (6 Feb. 2004) EVA Air has introduced a delicious new selection of beverages for passengers in upper cabin classes on its flights from Asia to North America. Made with fresh and healthy ingredients, the airline has created special drinks such as Chinese-style Sweet Lotus Tea with Ginseng to make a night flight more relaxing and Strawberry Energizer for an invigorating boost prior to an early morning arrival.
Following a light food service during the first portion of flights from Taipei to Vancouver, Los Angeles and San Francisco, Super First Class passengers can choose either the lotus tea with ginseng or a fragrant, warm Kahlua Coffee Cream Delight with a touch of liqueur. Served at night when passengers often wish to sleep, these calming drinks are an invitation to dreamland. The tea reflects Chinese medicine tradition where sweet lotus seed is used to nourish internal organs and wipe away anxieties.
This new beverage service makes long flights more enjoyable for our passengers, said K.W. Nieh, senior vice president, EVA Air. Its an added comfort and the kind of thing a passenger might enjoy at home. And its an example of EVA Airs ongoing commitment to service excellence.
The strawberry drink and an energizing soup, Double Boiled Beef with Red and Black Dates, are served to Super First and Super Business Class passengers on final segments of all EVA flights from Taipei to North America. Strawberry Energizer is a healthy blend of farm-fresh strawberries, yogurt, lemon and low-fat milk that is naturally full of vitality and vitamin C. The soup is a tasty way to satisfy the Chinese habit of drinking something hot after waking up. Its a flavorful infusion of traditionally healthy, low-fat red and black dates combined with the best quality lean beef New Zealand, Australia, South or Central America have to offer.
In addition to Los Angeles, San Francisco and Vancouver, EVA Air also provides passenger services to Seattle and New York in North America. It serves 42 destinations on four continents and has one of the industrys best networks in Asia with gateways in almost every major business and leisure destination.
EVA Air currently provides five direct passenger services to Bangkok per week departing London Heathrow Airport on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. EVA Air pioneered the enhanced economy class product in 1991.
