Based in Vista, San Diego County, the company's third permanent base, will offer Azul customers an individual and personalised approach to the concept of a wellbeing retreat. Guests will work to tailored programmes of Pilates, yoga, organic food and holistic treatments in the beautiful five acre southern Californian setting, 15 minutes inland from the Pacific coast and its world famous surf beaches. 

Hosted by Azul Yoga and Pilates founders, Jamie and Karissa Isaac, the US concept takes many of the elements of the successful Azul brand to create a boutique and intimate retreat experience, which offers individuals the opportunity to take private Pilates classes with master teacher Jamie, alongside yoga from some of California's leading teachers.

The US launch is accompanied by a new commercial partnership with UK yoga clothing brand Yogamasti, which sees Azul Yoga and Pilates act as the lead US distributor for the brand's ethically sourced, yet fashion conscious yoga apparel. The range will be available for the first time to both wholesale and retail customers in the USA, via a range of channels including a new multi-national website.

Azul Yoga and Pilates have been successfully operating in the retreat sector for over 7 years and alongside two venues based on the Canary Island of Fuerteventura, have run retreats internationally at locations including Bali, Santorini and Andalucía. They offer year round yoga and Pilates' weeks, alongside speciality retreats focusing on detox, Ayurveda, Jivamukti yoga, Kundalini yoga, nutrition and Pilates.

Azul Yoga and Pilates was founded in 2007 by Jamie and Karissa Isaac. The company runs year round retreats fromits base at Villa Azul in Villaverde, Fuerteventura, as well as beach yoga holidays from The Lotus Lodge in Corralejo.

Jamie Isaac is an International well-being specialist and Pilates teacher from England. His pursuit of knowledge and work within human movement has lead him into the fitness industry as a Personal Trainer, an elite trampoline coach, as well as developing a passionate interest in yoga and meditation.

Through these pathways Jamie naturally discovered the method of Pilates and his passion has led him to further studies. He is currently honoured to be studying with 1st Generation Master Teacher, Lolita San Miguel.

Karissa is a strong believer in a holistic approach to wellbeing and the benefits of Pilates and yoga. She put her passion for holistic health into setting up Azul along with Jamie, and works to make sure that all guests get the most out of their Azul holiday.

Karissa is a Reiki practitioner and is studying Ayurveda and is following her love of healing and holistic wellbeing. Azul Yoga and Pilates pride themselves on the quality that comes from all their principle teachers having completed master trainings that place them as 2nd or 3rd generation teachers from the source of their disciplines.

Along with this they offer guests nutrition and meals designed and developed by Jo Dombernowsky, nutrition specialist and published author. Yoga clothing brand Yogamasti was launched in 2009 by Aanika Chopra. Although new to the US market the brand has already gained a strong international reputation via appearances at over 20 global yoga shows, demonstrating the brand's unique qualities including hand-painted artistry and stunning designs.
