Escape the British Winter With Huge Savings on a Driving Safari in Namibia

Safari Drive

The heatwave may not be over yet, but Safari Drive is already offering fantastic savings of £1100 per person on a driving safari in Namibia for travel between November 2016 and March 2017. The Namibia Winter Sun journey is the perfect way to escape the dull British weather this winter.

Transfer from Johannesburg to Windhoek and spend the first night of the 15-day itinerary at River Crossing, situated on a 6500-hectare game reserve with a magnificent view across the mountains. Whilst at River Crossing, head out horse riding or relax in the spa before embarking on the trip of a lifetime the following morning. First, head towards Omboroko and the Okonjima Reserve, home to the AfriCat Foundation and then on to Etosha National Park to stay at Okaukuejo Rest Camp. The camp overlooks a spectacular waterhole, with wildlife visiting from dawn including black rhinos, elephants and lions.

A highlight of the trip is the four-day stay in Damaraland at Spitzkoppe Campsite, one of the most beautiful areas in Namibia. The area is famed for its rock art and whilst there it is the perfect opportunity to climb to Bushman's Paradise, a small basin tucked between domes of rock, to view historical Bushman rock paintings and take in the wide-stretching view across the plains.

Namibia's climate is generally dry and pleasant making it an all-year round destination. The low season, running from November to March, is the best time to spot newborn animals and migrating birds.

The offer means the cost of the 15-day Namibia Winter Sun itinerary starts from £2,356 per person based on four people sharing a 4x4 vehicle and includes flights with South African Airways from London Heathrow, accommodation and some meals. The cost for two people sharing starts from £2,994 per person and includes flights with South African Airways from London Heathrow, accommodation and some meals. The offer is valid for travel between November 2016 – March 2017.
