Driving with A&K from Berlin to Prague, a stop is made en route in the Baroque city of Dresden where Germany's oldest Christmas market, Striezelmarkt, is found. There's plenty of time to wander through the bustling marketplace and taste traditional Saxon treats with the aroma of mulled wine and Christmas music all around.

In Prague, the Old Town Square plays host to a festive market of brightly decorated wooden huts, selling Czech handicrafts, hot food and warm drinks and at 5pm every evening the beautiful lights of the Christmas tree are turned on.
