Highlights include a Diamond Evening, the Whatley Manor Gatcombe Horse Trials and popular events such as Tuesday garden tours, Sunday jazz and cinema screenings continuing throughout the season. There are also details of special offers for the August bank holiday and autumn short breaks, providing ample excuses for guests to indulge themselves with a stay at this renowned Cotswold hideaway. Also featured are Whatley Manor's Christmas and New Year celebrations and events stretching into 2015.

A Diamond Evening with Martin & Co at Whatley Manor – 8th July 2014
Join James Grant, manager of Martin & Co, the leading jewellers in the Cotswolds, at Whatley Manor for a unique evening on 8th July. James has been grading diamonds and valuing fine jewellery for over 25 years, and the evening will start at 6.15pm with a Deutz Champagne and canapé reception and an exhibition of fine jewellery in the Gallery Rooms. James will then invite guests to attend a short presentation in Whatley Manor's stylish cinema before dinner is served in 'The Dining Room' where a four-course menu prepared by Michelin two-starred chef Martin Burge will be served with wines to accompany each course.
£169 includes Deutz Champagne and canapé reception, the presentation, four-course set menu with wines, coffee and petit fours. Guests will also receive a book on fine jewellery (one per couple).
Three Michelin-starred chefs – Martin Burge of Whatley Manor, Hywel Jones from Lucknam Park and Sam Moody of Bath Priory – come together to prepare an outstanding three-course lunch ahead of the Solitaire Salver Charity Polo Match in aid of Hospitality Action at Beaufort Polo Club on 7th September.
The Beaufort Polo Club is located near to Whatley Manor in the beautiful Cotswold countryside, and the serenity of its surroundings is in complete contrast to the speed and excitement of the game of polo itself, which is thrilling to watch. Tickets are £90 per person or £850 for a table of ten and include a champagne and canapé reception from 12 noon, followed by the three-course lunch with half a bottle of wine per person. The polo match starts at approximately 3.15pm and the day ends with an afternoon cream tea prepared by Calcot Kitchens.
Whatley Manor International Horse Trials at Gatcombe Park – 19th, 20th and 21st September 2014
Gatcombe Park International Horse Trials take place at the home of HRH The Princess Royal, and Whatley Manor is proud to announce sponsorship of the event for a further three years. This year, the additional off-course activities include a cookery demonstration by Whatley Manor's Michelin two-starred chef Martin Burge on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st September. Gatcombe is also delighted to welcome back the Skye Terrier Club, recognised as one of the UK's most endangered native dog breeds, and guests will have the chance to meet celebrated local sculptor Georgie Welch and see pictures of the bronze statue of two Skye Terriers, entitled 'The Homecoming', that she worked on at Gatcombe in 2013.
A two-night stay at Whatley Manor, including entrance passes to Gatcombe for the weekend and a programme, is available from £610 for a standard room based on two people sharing. Other room rates are available from £750.
Bollinger Exclusive Champagne Dinner at Whatley Manor – 23rd September 2014
On 23rd September Whatley Manor will be offering guests the opportunity to discover the secrets of one of the world's leading champagne houses at an exclusive Bollinger evening of fine dining and fabulous champagne. After a Bollinger Champagne and canapé reception at 6.30pm, Antony Davis, from Mentzendorff, will provide a fascinating, behind-the-scenes insight into the Bollinger Maison in Reims and the famous house style that sets Bollinger apart. The Bollinger Champagne selection for the evening will include the Bollinger Special Cuvée, La Grande Année 2004, Rosé and a superb red wine. Head chef Martin Burge will complement the Champagnes with an exquisite four-course set menu served in the Michelin two-starred restaurant 'The Dining Room'.
£159 includes Bollinger Champagne and canapé reception, the presentation, four-course set menu with Bollinger Champagne, wine, coffee and petit fours. Please be advised that you will be seated on a table for six with other fellow guests.
Discover Flawless Skin with La Prairie and Relax in Aquarias Spa at Whatley Manor – 6th October 2014
The Aquarias Spa at Whatley Manor is a La Prairie Art of Beauty centre and on 6th October guests can join a special La Prairie event and gain a valuable insight into the secrets of healthy and youthful skin whilst also making full use of the spa facilities.
Rachel Simmonds, La Prairie Training Manager, will start the day at 10.30am with a short presentation on the skincare range and introduce the very latest La Prairie products. A two-course set lunch and a glass of wine will then be served in 'Le Mazot' brasserie before guests can enjoy relaxing in Spa Aquarias and experience a customised 30-minute La Prairie facial and La Prairie hand and arm massage. Rachel will be on hand to offer advice and La Prairie products will be available to purchase.
£120 includes tea or coffee with biscuits on arrival, the presentation, two-course set lunch with a glass of wine served in 'Le Mazot', a 30-minute La Prairie facial, La Prairie hand and arm massage, La Prairie foundation colour match, full use of the spa facilities (complimentary robes and slippers provided), tea or coffee and cake served in the afternoon and a La Prairie goodie bag to take home.
Cookery Masterclasses with Michelin two-starred chef Martin Burge in 2014 and 2015
Whatley Manor is hosting a new series of one-day cookery masterclass with Michelin two–starred head chef Martin Burge. On 18th November 2014, spend the day in the kitchen with Martin as he conducts a hands-on practical day where participants will learn how to create a seasonal three-course menu perfect for entertaining family and friends at home.
Further masterclasses are planned for 19th January, 15th June and 16th November 2015.
All masterclasses take place from 10am, finishing at around 6pm, and include lunch (featuring courses from the food prepared during the day) with wine and refreshments throughout the day. With a limit of just 14 guests per class, the days are social and interactive, and participants will take home one of the dishes they have prepared. £185 includes the masterclass, apron, recipes, lunch and refreshments.

Lazy Days in Autumn Package – September to November 2014
Appreciate the delights of Autumn and prepare for winter with this two-night stay. Take a visit to nearby Westonbirt Arboretum to enjoy the spectacular display of autumn colour. Relax with a 60 minute 'Hot Stone massage' and leave perfectly polished with a Jessica Deluxe manicure in the award-winning Spa Aquarias. A two-night midweek stay in a superior room costs from £730 per room. Available Sunday to Thursday from 1st September until 28th November inclusive, room rates include morning tea or coffee, daily newspaper, full use of the Spa Aquarias facilities, VAT and 10% discretionary service charge.
Also included is £60 towards dinner for two served in the 'Le Mazot' brasserie on one of the evenings, or dine in 'The Dining Room', Whatley Manor's Michelin two-starred restaurant for a supplement of £55 per person for the à la carte menu or £80 per person for the tasting menu. 'The Dining Room' serves dinner from Wednesday to Sunday.
Christmas and New Year Packages at Whatley Manor
Celebrate the festive season with Whatley Manor's luxurious Christmas and New Year celebration packages.
Arriving on Tuesday 23rd December 2014, find a bottle of champagne waiting in your room, with a gourmet set dinner in 'The Dining Room' in the evening. On Christmas Eve highlights include afternoon tea, a champagne and canapé reception in 'The Dining Room' followed by a candlelit four-course dinner in 'Le Mazot' and complimentary transport to Malmesbury Abbey for Midnight Mass. Then on Christmas Day enjoy a traditional Christmas five-course lunch in 'The Dining Room', use of the cinema (with complimentary popcorn) and a light evening buffet served in the Drawing Room with live musical entertainment. Finally, round off your stay with a champagne breakfast on Boxing Day before departing at your leisure.
This special festive package is available from £2,430 per room per stay for a standard room based on two people sharing, with other room rates available from £2,675, and includes the 'Christmas Celebration' package, full use of the award-winning Spa Aquarias, VAT and 10% discretionary service charge.
