A luxurious and secluded house - perfect for families and groups of friends - hidden away in a sleepy Shropshire valley just a short distance from the foodie destination of Ludlow with its fantastic restaurants, farmers markets. With castles, breweries and beautiful market towns on the doorstep, Little Cwm Colebatch is the perfect place to stay and explore this inspiring location.  The house sleeps up to six people (two king bedrooms and two further single bedrooms) in stunning surroundings and offers a real 'family home feel' catering for families of all ages.  A seven night stay costs just £1,785.

 

Cultural cool at Spring Barn, nr Machynlleth, mid-Wales

Spring Barn is a beautiful Grade II listed Cruck barn that has been lovingly restored into a stylish holiday home.  Sitting on its own hillside, it offers amazing views over the valley and the perfect place to unwind. There is a wealth of things to do in the local area including a visit to the Museum of Modern Art Wales (MOMA) and also the Machynlleth Festival in late August - a unique week of music with everything from jazz to classical music and also music masterclasses.  There are also great beaches at Aberdovey and fish and chips from Hennigans, the Fish & Chip shop of the year, not far away.  Sleeping up to six people (two king bedrooms and one double bedroom) a stay at Spring Barn costs £1,475. 

 

Discreet retreat at Lletty, Brecon Beacons, Wales

Lletty is a luxury hideaway perfect for family and pet friendly holidays. Truly rural, Lletty sits on its own forest clearing and gets its water supply from a local spring!  The property offers a stunning en-suite master bedroom with king size bed and two further bedrooms, one double and one twin, both with great views of the Black Mountains. Active Break at Plas Cwta, Snowdonia

Formerly a shepherd's cottage, Plas Cwta has been renovated with true passion to retain many original features and give a wonderful rustic, chic and cosy feel.  With uninterrupted views of the Snowdonia Mountains and a wealth of activities on offer for outdoor enthusiasts including mountain biking, good walks and canoeing on the River Conwy. Or, if preferred, some down time with a spa treatment at nearby Bodysgallen Hall or learn how to spin wool - exclusive to Plas Cwta - with a Wool Spinning lesson to produce yarn from the fleeces of resident sheep.  Sleeping up to four people (one king bedroom, one double bedroom) a seven night stay at Plas Cwta costs £1,065.

 

History...and a hideaway at Tailor's Cottage, Snowdonia

Nestled on the edge of the quiet village of YsbytyIfan, Tailor's Cottage (once the home of the village tailor) offers a real 'home from home' with cosy interiors.  It provides the perfect base to explore the craggy hills and valleys of Snowdonia and a region steeped in history.  Penrhyn and Caernarfon Castle are nearby as well as Llangollen, host to the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod, one of the world's most inspirational cultural festivals featuring a diverse range of artists to suit all musical tastes. Also close by is the 'Amser Da' restaurant attached to the 'best deli in Wales'.Sleeping up to four people (two double bedrooms) a seven night stay at Tailor's Cottage costs £1,065.
