La Manga Club's appeal as a world-class destination for football's biggest names is stronger than ever, with more than 70 clubs from 19 different countries ready to make their way to the famous Spanish resort for warm-weather training camps this winter.
Seventy-five men's and women's teams from across Europe and beyond are set to visit the award-winning Murcia resort between now and the end of March to take advantage of the chance to train under sunny skies.
Heading the list of top clubs who will be using La Manga Club's outstanding football facilities will be runaway Ukrainian league leaders Shakhtar Donetsk and Mark Sampson's England Women's team, who will step up their preparations for Euro 17 when they visit from January 16-25.
RSC Anderlecht will be staying at the resort a week earlier and will use their trip to boost their challenge for the Belgian Pro League title and UEFA Europa League, while Dinamo Zagreb, SC Heerenveen, Legia Warsaw and CSKA Sofia are among the other leading names set to enjoy training breaks over the next two months.
The USA Women's Under-23 team will bring an added international flavour together with a wide array of top Scandinavian sides – including 21 from Norway.
And La Manga Club will also give a glimpse to the future over the winter by hosting some of Europe's best up-and-coming men's and ladies' players, including the U17 men's teams from Germany, Norway, Hungary, Poland and Sweden and U23 women's sides from England, Germany, Italy and Scotland.
With extensive facilities including eight FIFA-approved grass pitches, La Manga Club has made a name for itself as a first-choice destination for warm-weather football training breaks.
A collection of the game's biggest names including FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Newcastle United are among the clubs to have recently used the resort, while the venue also hosted the 2016 Mundiavocat - football's World Cup for lawyers featuring more than 100 teams from 38 countries – earlier this year.
As well as its football training amenities, the resort boasts a fully-equipped gym and indoor swimming pool, ideal for recovery sessions; a host of rooms and spaces to cater for tactical meetings, private team dining and a new High Performance Sports Centre, where players can use the most advanced technology possible to study all aspects of their health and training programmes.
Set in 1,400 acres, the award-winning venue is also the official overseas training base of the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) and offers unrivalled facilities as a sports and leisure destination including three 18-hole golf courses, a 28-court tennis centre and a 2,000sqm spa and fitness centre. It also offers the choice of a five-star hotel, four-star serviced apartments and townhouses and more than 20 bars and restaurants.
