Leading industry magazine Cruise International has published a review praising the emerging Emerald Waterways river cruise company for its 'impressive fleet'.
The writer travelled on one of their most popular European river cruises, staying in one of the Emerald Star staterooms on an eight-day trip on board one of Emerald's deluxe 'Star-Ships'.
Describing the accommodation as 'contemporary-cool' and 'minimalist' with luxury toiletries by Italian firm Prija, Deborah Stone confirms the sleek and stylish boutique appearance that the river cruise company strives to achieve. In the review she also mentions the 'excellent choice' of meals offered on board, which are served in the Reflections Restaurant and include a different regional dish each day.
Emerald Waterways' Danube Delights cruise, which visits a variety of cities such as Budapest, Bratislava and Vienna, costs from just £1,595 per person and is inclusive of flights, accommodation, all meals, guided tours, daily excursions and gratuities. Highlights of this particular river cruise, as detailed by the writer, included views from the top of Gellert Hill, sailing through the UNESCO-listed Wachau Valley and a guided tour near Hofburg Palace.
