Elegant Hotels to Launch Extended Multi-Generational Offering at Turtle Beach

Elegant Hotels

Elegant Hotels' all-inclusive property Turtle Beach will launch an extended programme of activities as it continues to develop the multi-generational offering for the family travellers. Following the recent introduction of new dining experiences at the hotel, guests can now enjoy an active family holiday experience with an attractive activities programme for every age group.

Families in search of new experiences to enjoy together can find something for everyone with both unique all-inclusive and authentically Bajan experiences including the revamped Aqua School, family fitness classes or on island adventure packages.

Kids
Kids are spoilt for choice when staying at the hotel and can enjoy hours of fun at the newly revamped Aqua School, where they can pick up news skills and benefit from free surfing, paddle and in-pool scuba diving lessons. After an active day of sand and surf, children can retreat to the Flying Fish Kids Club, where they can learn the local dialect, create keepsake mementos with arts and crafts or enjoy a movie night under the stars.

Teens
Teens need not worry about finding activities perfectly suited to them whilst on holiday. Turtle Beach's new Adventure Package will get the adrenaline pumping as the day begins with a hike and nature trail around the 'world wonder' Harrison's Cave. From there, families will visit the Bushy Park Barbados race track where teens can unleash their inner Lewis Hamilton as they test their skills against each other in an exhilarating go-kart race while mum and dad cheer from the side-lines.

For the parents
The seasonal Blackout Murder Mystery dinner theatre is a unique adults-only dining experience, which will see guests dine by candlelight. A backdrop of crime will unfold while dinner is served, where guests, who themselves are suspects, must play detective and solve the mystery.

The Caribbean is known as much for its infectious music as its beautiful blue waters. Throughout the week, one of Barbados' most celebrated trumpeters, Ricky Braithwaite will serenade parents enjoying after-dinner drinks with his jazz quartet, famous across the island for their smooth and silky sounds. The new Caribbean Goes Global Dance Show explores Caribbean music throughout the years, covering everything from Calypso and Soca to Reggae and Gospel. Parents and grandparents alike will be tapping their toes to the pulsating rhythms and interpretative dance performance led by a cast of professional dancers.

Guests looking to feel the burn can polish their tennis skills with exclusive tennis clinics taught by a team of local professionals, or explore the island with a fast-paced hike; while those wanting a more relaxed experience can listen to the gently crashing waves at a sunset yoga session.

For the grandparents
While the kids are off swimming with turtles or learning to bake at the hotel's pastry school, grandparents can try their hands at flower arranging lessons, taught by Chelsea Flower Show's award winning florist David Yearwood. Those looking for a day out can enjoy a walk through the St Lawrence and Dover neighbourhoods to the picturesque woodland area of the Graeme Hall Nature Sanctuary, or play a round of golf with exclusive rates and tee times at top Barbados golf clubs including Apes Hill Club and Rockley Golf Course.

Fun for all the family
Elegant Hotels' Family Boot Camp is the perfect chance for a little family rivalry. The whole family will battle against to see who comes out top of the leader-board at the end of a fitness-based obstacle course, completing a number of exercises to win fantastic prizes, and of course, the best prize of all: the chance to gloat to the rest of the family.

The day need not end when the sun goes down, especially in Barbados, so Turtle Beach is offering a complimentary sunset cruise to families staying at the hotel. An on-board chef will prepare traditional Bajan dishes and Rum Punch as the yacht sails for a three-hour trip into the sunset.

Sunil Chatrani, CEO of Elegant Hotels Group says: “We are continuing to notice an increase in families of all generations travelling together.
