Just as a 20th year of marriage is one of the big milestone anniversaries, the 20th year of being part of the opening team of a hotel is also a reason to celebrate! Having been "married" to the hotel for 20 years, Alan Tam, Chief Concierge of the Hotel is proud to be one of the opening team members of the hotel.

Witnessing the growth of the community of Jordan from being one of the local's favourite to becoming one of the most popular tourist spots in this vibrant city over the years, Alan knows the city like the back of his hands.

As a valuable member of The Society of The Golden Keys of Hong Kong, Alan gives advice to guests from all over the world - from the best local eateries, the newest hotspot for a drink around town to the place where you can knock yourself off with some real bargains like Temple St Night Market which is adjacent to the hotel. "Nothing pleases me more than seeing guests enjoying their stay at the hotel and hearing of their journeys exploring this exciting city! Getting to welcome guests back who have been returning to stay with us for more than 10 years is the true reward for every one of us here" says Alan who takes pride in his career at Eaton.

With 20 years of experience working for the hotel, Alan has also made some truly lifelong friends. "There are countless unforgettable moments and beautiful memories that we share together as a team. The friendships and the bonds we share have helped us through the good times and the bad. From the rainstorm that flooded the city in 1992, the financial turmoil in 1997 to the global economic downturn in late 2008'.

It has been my pleasure to be part of the team for over 20 years and I look forward to welcoming future guests from around the world to enjoy our newly renovated lobby floor and to experience essential hospitality at Eaton Smart, Hong Kong" said Alan.
