EASTER TREATS AT TREASURE HOUSES OF ENGLAND

Ten of England's finest palaces, castles and stately homes are preparing a basketful of surprises for visitors of all ages to enjoy throughout the Easter holidays.

Become a Nature Detective at Beaulieu this Easter, follow the wildlife treasure trail with fairy doors, see the giant tree carving and enjoy animal-themed face painting and family activities around the attraction from April 8th – 23rd.

Then head inside Palace House for animal face painting, before capturing your image in a photograph taken through our hanging picture frame in the stunning grounds and daffodil-covered Wilderness Garden outside.

Over the Easter weekend (April 14th – 17th), you can meet a larger-than-life Easter bunny, pick up a chocolate treat from Palace House and see the National Motor Museum come to life with veteran cars motoring around the grounds.

Blenheim Palace has an eggcellent Easter family weekend (April 14th-17th) planned, with lots of additional fun to be had over the entire Easter holidays.

Discover an over-sized Easter Egg Hunt throughout the 'Capability' Brown Parkland and Pleasure Gardens. Find the special 'Blenheim Egg' for a chance to win chocolate bunny prizes.

The Pleasure Gardens will play host to a traditional Victorian fairground; meet a Butterfly Stiltwalker and a friendly clown, listen to fantastic story-telling, plus archery and a bouncy castle!

There's Punch & Judy Shows, Balloon Twisters, Circus Skills Workshops and face painting.

The popular Burghley Easter Egg Hunt will once again be taking place in the Gardens of Surprise, from 11am to 5pm (last admission 4.30pm) on Sunday, April 16th. Follow the treasure hunt around the Gardens of Surprise and solve the riddle to claim a full size chocolate egg from the Easter Bunny.

Plus have a go at some 'eggs'cellent crafts, from decorated eggs to spring flowers in the Easter Craft workshops (April 3rd-21st) in the Sculpture Garden Classroom (excluding Good Friday and Easter Monday).

Enjoy Easter Farm Fun at Castle Howard from April 14th to 17th. Get up close to all your favourite farmyard animals at the mobile petting farm featuring lambs, alpacas, a miniature donkey and more.

Race to the centre of the giant straw bale maze and set off into the gardens to help the farmer gather up his animals who have wandered too far from the farmyard in the Easter trail.

The hugely popular Easter Eggstravaganza (April 8th-23rd) is back at Chatsworth with its annual Easter Egg hunts (April 14th-17th), crafts, and rides just some of the activities in store for visitors this season.

Harewood House, the main location for ITV's blockbuster series Victoria, opens its magnificent doors on March 24th with an exhibition entitled Victorian Harewood.

As filming starts for a second series of ITV's Victoria, visitors will get a close up view of the stunning costumes worn by many characters.

Enjoy a spring visit to Hatfield Park Farm. Children can play in the sand pits, bounce around on giant tyres, and climb on the wooden tractor whilst you relax in the spring sunshine. To complete the visit there are free tractor rides, weather permitting.

On Easter weekend (April 15th-17th) there will be a host of activities including bonnet making and bunny hunts taking place on the farm.

Throughout March and April, the sheep and goats will be lambing and a visit to the lambing marquee is a must!

Holkham Hall's Easter bunny will be welcoming visitors before setting them off on some exciting trails to test their skills (April 14th-17th).  It's origami fun time too and there's a chance to create your very own 'hoppy' friend or discover the animals that roam at Holkham with a footprint quiz.

The popular Kiddy Cook team will be back this year in the old kitchen. Create your own imaginative design with icing by decorating a temptingly tasty Easter biscuit.

Climb aboard the Easter Express and take a trailer ride over to the Walled Garden where the fun continues. There's exciting games and quizzes to play, and the storyteller's enchanted yurt, plus don't miss the fluffy friends from Party Animals and face painting.

Look out for Robin Hoodie, Maid Marion and a merry band of naughty outlaws in the grounds of Leeds Castle for a fun filled 'Walking Theatre' adventure of silliness and laughter - perfect for all the family on Easter Bank Holiday weekend (April 14th-17th).

Entertain the children with an Easter Quest finding clues across the estate for a chocolate prize from April 1st to 17th (£1 charge applies).

Floral expert Jonathan Moseley returns to Woburn Abbey with a new seasonal study day on April 6th. Jonathan will be offering inspiration to visitors to create their own Easter floral arrangements to take home at the end of the day.

Enjoy some family fun with the kids Easter trail throughout the Abbey Gardens and step inside the Abbey and enjoy three brand new exhibitions from April 10th.
