There's a fun-packed weekend of family entertainment and activities for visitors of all ages to enjoy at Blenheim Palace this Easter (Friday, April 18th - Monday, April 21st).
On Friday and Saturday younger visitors can enjoy the Blenheim Palace Easter Egg Hunt around the Pleasure Gardens, with clues to be solved and prizes to be won!
While on Sunday and Monday hugely popular children's characters Peppa Pig, George, Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig, plus Fireman Sam will be making regular personal appearances on both days.
The Pleasure Gardens are also home to the Marlborough Maze, the Adventure Play Area and the newly-renovated Butterfly House, which re-opens to visitors in April.
Other family activities include a bouncy castle, crafts at the 'Pottering About' studio and traditional fairground rides (small additional charges apply).
Food, refreshments and Easter treats will be available in the Pleasure Gardens Deli, including cupcake decorating and 'Yoo Moo' yoghurt shakes, or try one of their 'Shaker' salads and fresh oven baked pizzas!
Spring at Blenheim Palace
Blenheim Palace sits among more than 2,000 acres of beautifully landscaped park and gardens. Visitors can discover the delights of the Formal Gardens with their serene Water Terraces, the Secret Garden, the Rose Garden and The Duke's Italian Garden.
Take a springtime stroll through the 'Capability' Brown landscaped parkland, or enjoy a picnic in sublime surroundings, taking in Blenheim's famous landmarks like the Grand Bridge, the Column of Victory and the Temple of Diana, where Winston Churchill proposed to Clementine.
WWI Exhibition: 'A Great Estate at War - Land, Sea and Air'
This fascinating exhibition explores the wartime stories of both the Spencer Churchill family, including Sir Winston Churchill, and workers on the Estate, as well as the Palace's use as a convalescent hospital for wounded soldiers.
The exhibition is in the Gallery Room in the Stables Courtyard until Monday, April 21st.
Meet the Curator - Sunday, April 20th
Meet curator Karen Wiseman and find out how she assembled the many artefacts and documents which make up the exhibition. Includes a delicious cream tea, and a Q & A session with the curator afterwards. Price, including admission, Adult £31.50, Concessions £27, Child £21.80.
Private Apartment Tours - 8th March - 22nd April
A rare chance to take a guided tour of the private apartments of the Duke and Duchess of Marlborough located in the East Wing of the Palace from 8th March - 22nd April only. Book at the 'Flagstaff' Information Point, a small additional charge will apply.
